A notable issue in the state of Assam is that in the last 10 years, the inclination of Sunnis towards Ahlul Bayt (AS) has increased. Currently, nearly 500 people have converted to Shia Islam. There was a basis for sending missionaries this year, so two Shia missionaries were present in this area. Mr. Mir Hussain has done a lot of activities in this area to spread the teachings of Ahlul Bayt (AS).
Last year, Mr. Rizwan Salam also visited this area. This year, thank God, there was a spontaneous program to hold mourning ceremonies among Sunnis. Nearly 15 new mourning ceremonies were held in these areas in the first ten days despite heavy rain.
